Speaking of breaking one of these, mine went last year, the switch for the headlights no longer made contact.
Gave me a rude shock when my headlights turned on then suddenly both shutdown when I switched them on in twilight. Did some funky stuff when I attempted switch between parking and headlights so I just shut it down and drove straight home =P

Resorted to picking up a new part from Mistu.
I've still got the old one, might try to prise it open one day to see what actually went wrong.

The wires burn out and start contacting each other... I've seen it and you can actually fix it with heat shrink and new wire...

Actually not too bad on Amamamamamamamamam *cough!* amamamayaaaaaaaamaaaaaaaa.

Range from $270 for one with rear wiper, to $205 for the facelift 2 piece one by the looks of it.

Kimmy, can you tell us the VIN# of your car, then we can look up the exact one you need. There's about 10 different variants of them.

Actaully thats exactly what I meant by quite expensive ;) . And you dont get the whole unit with both wiper and indicator stalks and the bit in the middle, just the indicator stalk. I guess you dont need the other 2 bits, but still...

VIN is stamped on the firewall behind the engine. Starts with DE3A and is followed by 7 numbers.

Again, going from memory, if you want the whole thing, you are looking at around $250 for each of the 3 bits (around $750 total). Its been a while since I looked into it, so things might have changed, but im sure this was the case several years ago. If my memory is right, youll need three part numbers to get what you want.
