Facelift gpx or version r, low kms stock(ish)

Post by FTO99R »

Been a long time sincerely I posted on this site, but after selling my fto many years ago for an evo I'm back in the market. Anyway here goes...

I'm after a facelift gpx or preferably version R, with as low as possible kms (for a 15+ year old car anyway) and as close to stock as possible. Been doing some checking on the net but seems they are very hard to find. I'll be using it as a daily drive hence why I'm looking for stock specs and low k's.

Due to the age of the car not sure on the import restrictions but if they are still able to be imported and someone can point me towards a good importer that would also be useful. Might be the easiest option.

I know fto's like this are hard to come by these days and theres probably a lot of people looking for the same thing but thought its worth asking the question. I guess the difference is I'm not expecting to get something in the typical 8k range, I'm expecting and willing to pay more.

Please reply if you know of anything available.

Still a few good ones in Japan that I know of

I imported mine two years back, not sure if anyone has imported one since, but a GPVR in good condition from Japan will cost you about the $10k mark, so cost wise not the best option.

Na $10k after you've got the car, complied, importers fees, etc etc. Mine ended up being about $14k all up in November 2011, received it at start of Feb 2012

Looks the goods and id be willing to freight, only issue is its an auto. I'm pretty set on a manual (forgot to mention that in my original post). Might start contacting some importers to look around the auctions for me.

    Thanks for looking though.

      Thanks for the replies guys.

Decided to front up the extra cash to get a more modern car. 2011 Renault Megane RS250 Monaco GP for those interested, very happy with it and bargain at $30k with only 39,000 on the clock.

Haha certainly not as manly as an FTO or the Evo 7, I'll admit that. But I think it looks alright.

Many more creature comforts as a daily drive and not exactly slow... 2.0L turbo, 184kw, 340Nm, 1387kg, 0-100 6.0s
