I just want the thing to start to get it to an electrician

Hey guys, can anyone please decipher this for me? I'm still trying to just get the bloody car to start, and want to try this out.

Can anyone show me a photo of their starter, indicating the terminals I'm bridging together?
I have made up a wire that i connect to the starter solenoid switch and the positive battery terminal on the starter motor, it works great but i will take it into a auto electrician as soon as i can.

I have had to bridge starter wires to get cars going before.
I lay under the car and bridged the terminals with a screwdriver with the key turned to on.
But if you want to do it safer then your idea will work.
Just make sure you use some pretty fat wire and a suitable switch or your wires and switch will burn through.

You need to bridge the two large terminals on the started solonoid, which is the smaller cylinder attached to the starter.

DO NOT ALLOW THE STARTER TO RUN MOAR THAN 10 SECONDS
I TAKE NO RESPONSABILITY IN GIVING YOU THIS INFO
TRY AT OWN RISK

Ignore the wiring in black, I have added some red wire to the pic, you need to do the red wire.

BTW, if you want to wire directly to the positive battery terminal with an inline switch, you will be wiring to terminal "M" in the bottom pic.

Try hitting the starter with the handle end of a large screwdriver. You may have a stuck solenoid. Or do you know what is wrong and I've skipped over it?

Also could always clutch start it..

Bottom picture is broken for me..

Can't view it

Can't clutch start it, because it's auto

I've had the starter reconditioned already, shouldn't be stuck anything

The only things left that could be the problem are immobilizer and inhibitor switch

Any ideas how to bypass the inhibitor? Looking through the workshop manual i see the on wiring diagram that pins 9 and 10 are common to park and neutral, would bridging those bypass the inhibitor?

Also, would a dicky immobilizer stop me bypassing the starter solenoid and or the inhibitor?

I'm on my phone, can't post a pic

Yes bridging those will... it's on the biggest plug to the tranny, 2 thick black wires, one with a yellow stripe, one with a red stripe.

Yep same way you use an auto loom in a manual car.

I never came back to you guys, was the immobilizer as well as the battery

Battery was so screwed that even when it was charged and working after disabling the immobilizer and it working for a few hours, it would lose cold cranking amps

$1000 worth of trouble shooting later she's finally sorted

Yay!
So when I go up to Christchurch in a week I should see it driving around, right?
