Rattling/creaking back seat. Any suggestions?

Post by Herron »

Due to efficacy of getting to school, I drove down Finns road for a few weeks and now my backseat won't stop creaking. Any ideas or suggestions on what could be lose or how to fix it. I've had a rummage around but I can isolate it exactly. Btw any one local to Camden or the surrounding area probably knows how bad it is, thank god there finally fixing it. Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

Itll be the rear parcel shelf or the panels to the left and right of the rear seat (the clips typically squeak)

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's coming from the rear parcel shelf. Any ideas on a fix? It's driving me crazy.

For the panelson left andrightof rear seat, line the holes thatthe clips clip into with fabric tape (worked well for me).Forthe rear parcel shelf, remove and make sure you have all the clips.Put it back in ensuring that all the clips seat properly.Insulate the chjild restraint bolts (they wereput in during compliance, so they are quite possibly the issue)

For anyone interested I pulled the rear parcel shelf apart today. Due to how the child restraints were installed I couldn't remove it without completely removing them.1 clip was broken the other didn't seem to clip in. For a quick fix I stuffed foam underneath, clip the clips which work back in and screwd it down. Hopefully it's fixed.

Yeah, child restraints were fitted to the car when it came into Australia (Never had them out of the factory). Sometimes they did quite a bodgy job of installing them, so they rattle and squeek.

I had this issue just the other day... So i took the fucker out, lined everything (except the speakers) with some light fabric and then put it back and made sure the child restraints were f**king tight... No more squeaking
