FTO replacement boot floor

Post by chowetime »

Hi I've been a long time member and this will probably be my first FTO question, I'm about to buy a 1994 FTO the poor car has seen much better days and it looks like it will be fun fixing the old girl up.
The main concern I have is that it is missing the floor pan in the boot... So obviously I need to replace this part of the car if it is ever to see the road again...
CE lancers share a number of under chassis parts I am curious as to if there is any chance a CE lancer floor pan will fit the FTO I understand a lot of work is needed to unstitching the floor and weld it back into place but I am willing to give it a go.
Also has anyone done a rear end repair as in using FTO part.

There are a number of FTO members wrecking FTO's that probably have good rear floor pans. Infortunately I dont at the moment, but its worth an ask.

If it's that $900 one on gumtree don't buy it! That's dodgy as! And you could find something better for just a little bit more

you are correct it is the one for $900 I was just curious really I have a CE here that is due to be sent for scrape and if all was good on the FTO then it would be something I might be interested in playing with... but having said that I am also wondering if it is worthwhile ripping out the engine and looms etc and shoving it into a CE and part out the rest of the car...
Thanks for everyones input just helps to get an idea as to if this car is worth while messing around with but seeing as the floor pan is not a viable thing then the only option for this car is to part it out
If I get it the car is located just around the corner from me

I'd buy it to part if it was around the corner from me
