Re: Potential DIY day
How come?
I would have come if I didn't have to replace a temperate valve at home. Was a toss up between helping someone swap an engine or being able to have hot water in the shower.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

We didn't have the required man power to get the job done Yeah that's fair enough man don't worry it's all good! Maybe next time hey? We should go for a cruise soon/get one organised!

Re: Potential DIY day
Its pretty easy lol
drain all fluids first (coolant, oil, power steering fluid, gearbox fluid (if you want))
take rad out (auto has 2 ATF cooling lines you need to undo)
Battery and intake pipe (box if you have it)
unplug every plug and pull wiring loom off the engine and gearbox (its easier to take out the gearbox with the engine i found) (includes take the intake manifold off so you can undo the injector harness)
undo the air con compressor from its bracket and leave lines on if you want to keep the gas in the system and pull it up so it hangs over the front of the car and not in the way (not needed if your car has no aircon gas, just undo the lines from the compressor)
undo the selector cables (either manual or auto)
manual needs the clutch fluid line disconnected from the slave
undo power steering lines and any vaccuum lines from engine
undo heater core hoses
undo fuel lines from fuel filter
drop the Y pipe off the exhaust
undo cross member
and use whatever method you want to lower engine to the ground as all thats holding it in now is the top 2 engine mounts (4 bolts)
I MAY HAVE FORGOT SOME THINGS lol
