Flare information.

Post by Gpxyz »

Can someone tell me please where I can get another emergency flare? The transport company's insurance have agreed to process my claim and have asked me to get a replacement cost. I am looking for a genuine item not just a generic flare - if that is possible. Can anyone point me in the right direction please...

You cannot buy them new. And most of the time they are removed from the car during compliancing when its brought in from Japan as they are illegal to carry in your car.

Somebody is going to pay me some $money$...so that's a good enough reason for me to care. I just need to give the insurance a replacement cost, but that might not be easy it seems .

Thanks for the awesome help. All I really need at this point is a replacement cost to give to the insurance people, but without a part number I think it's almost impossible.. Any genuine suggestions greatly appreciated.

This is sort of like carrying 1kg of cocaine in your boot and getting rear ended, then expecting the insurance company to cover it in the claim. It's illegal to have them, no insurance company will approve that.

I know what you mean, but the transport company's insurance have already confirmed to me in an email that they will accept the claim; however I do need to give them a replacement cost. ...
