FTO Front bumper

Post by prageeth »

Hi
Can I install a series 2 front bar to a series 1 bumper? Series 2 front bumper has 2 round lights each side and series 1 (old) bumper has 1 oval shaped indicator light in each side.
I was thinking on removing the old typed bar and install a new one if that fits easily.
Your advise will be much appreciated.
Cheers

WTTC

We call them pre facelift and facelift.

Yes you can, you will need to buy new lights and make up custom brackets for them. Or get a facelift reo and then its a straight swap.

Actually, the indicators bolt straight up to the bar, so you only need to make a bracket for foglights if you want them. The bigger difference however is the parkers. In prefacelift these are in the oval indicator/parker/foglight unit. In the facelift howevr, they are in the headlight. You can either modify your headlight to take a parker bulb (there is a DIY on the site somewhere), or locat parkers somewhere else.

What sort of facelift bar are you looking at? Stock or aftermarket
