It's in the rearview mirror.
You will see 2 switches on the front.

Switches are in the door sills (little black circular rubber bit in the lower rear corner. There are switches in the rear view mirror. If these are set to the right setting, the lights oin the mirror will come on when the door is opened (as long as the switches in the door sill are working)

The switches on the mirror are 3 position switches...door, off, on.
You can switch either or both to door, off, on.

EDIT; or are they 2 position switches...door and on.
I dunno I have too many cars.

They're in rear vision mirror. No other lights inside and yep they're called reading lamps.

And they do have individual switches. Switches are either "on" or "door".

I always thought little circular lights in the rear plastics would be a good mod

    That's disgusting :p
Surely you can get a nicer looking one? Looks like it's from an 80s car haha.

That is unless you don't mind/care about it...

It's a genuine mitsu part with '95 badged on it.
    I dare say dealer option.

I don't mind it at all, lights the cabin up perfectly.
Given the low roof line, majorty of time you never see it.
