My Son is interested in it, not sure what 'runs well just needs tuning' means, needs a service do you reckon?
It's out of Rego which isn't great but from the pics doesn't look too bad.

Would put me off buying it, personally... Low asking price, no pictures of interior or under the hood... Of course you'd want to take a look at it in person ideally anyway, but it just seems a bit dodgy like he has something to hide if he can't provide an extensive list of everything that's running good and things that need to be fixed.

Would continue looking elsewhere.

Yeah good points there mate it doesn't take much time to write a little bit more on the ad so is there something to hide?

Or......

He cant be bothered now that the rego has run out and isnt making any effort as a result. Sometimes out of regois a good thing. Gives you plenty of room to negotiate.

"runs well just needs tuning" usually means doesn't run well, requires expensive repairs. There are far better examples out there, I'd say keep looking :)

Yep, that could equally be true. 2.5K does seem a little high based on the pics you do have and the fact it isnt registered. Im selling Lorax for 3K and that is registered and in a lot better condition that that (although kms are higher). I guess prices maybe higher over there though.

FTO's do seem to be more expensive over here but yeah it's out of rego, a GR and sounds like there are some issues with it.

My daughter is also looking for one for her first car, she's had 4 hours learning in my FTO so far and nearly killed us yesterday lol

I think I need some kind of remote control or educate her better so that in times or emergency and dread when I say brake, Brake, BRAKE she actually puts her foot on the brake and not stomps even harder on the accelerator thinking WTF why isn't it stopping? (this was in reverse so you can see why the confusion I suppose)
All good, we didn't hit anything just nearly had a heart-attack.

Seen it drive around once or twice didn't sound very good. Yeah FTO's are over priced here. And no one ever lists if it's mivec or not. I bought mine for $2000 and oh boy did I have to do a lot of work on it. I already dropped atleast $2000 on it and I gotta spend another $1000 replacing things for my major service. I live in ocean reef so if you need any help let me know! It would be nice to chat to another FTO owner

Don't buy anything out of rego unless your ready for the pits to find every flaw on the car. They've cracked down around here on imports. Even warwick and welshpool.

I bought the current FTO (facelift) for 5K 3 years ago, every other FTO that I looked at had roof rust and were more expensive.

Yep I've got roof rust! I wish I had a facelift. I find they look so much better than preface lift!
