Shhtuart's Manual Conversion Thread
So way back in 2011, I bought a LSD manual conversion kit off of Ben. It's sat in my room since the day I brought it home from the depot and it's time has finally come.
The current 5spd auto gearbox has an issue, I don't think it's actual gearbox but more of an electrical issue. The car's off the road so I figured a full rebuild is in order. Ben rebuilt the manual box with new diff and gearbox bearings plus seals.
I've got pretty much every tool I need except for the hole drill bit for the firewall and a set of impact sockets.
Wish me luck and pray I don't Toby the f**k out of it. I'm giving myself a 30 day deadline.
Let the games begin!

Need help? Got more time usually these days. I have about 6 impact wrenches and stepped bits to drill big holes!
Haha.
Is the oil burnt? What's it doing?

Organise a DIY day and we'll get a group of people to help get it done in a day

Shafts are good, won't be recoing. I've got a brand new HD exceedy ready to go. I was considering a lightweight flywheel but ill stick to stock for the time being.silverGPX wrote:Are u going to reco the shafts? New cvs? Got the flywheel machined ready to go with new clutch?
