Speed limiter

Post by FTO-Love-Affair »

Am I correct in saying that FTO's were from factory limited to 180kmh?

I'm sure I read somewhere a long time ago that they are limited to 180, and you're kinda backing it up. Never thought much of it til it clicked that my speedo goes to 200 and I can wind the needle past that quite easily. So I'd assume that my car has been delimited.

Yes they are limited, all it takes is cutting 1 wire to delimit it.

Has nothing to do with moving the needle. The speedometer is an indication, not the determining factor of the cars top speed.

And FTOs were limited to 190Kph from factory

Hold it flat till the limiter breaks

And don't listen to Toby.

Have a search, it's in the forum somewhere, tells you which wire to snip coming out of the ecu.
