Nah not yet. Gotta get the parts car down to the new place, then Tim can nick the starter motor to move his car so I can get mine into the garage.yotka wrote:Is the Fenix radiator in your car now?

Finally released Tim's backyard from another black FTO this morning. It started before the tow, and wasn't having a bar of it when it was dropped off. Mad props to Kiz and his sis' for helping to haul it up the driveway and into the garage.

Picked up the last of some pics of a free shoot I had done by a Liam Hughes last year, love the rolling ones.

The DD is actually just an alternative to other SA personalised plates which have XX. They just roll through the letters so in a while it'll be EE xxxx.
I like to think it does stand for D(aily)D(river) 6(a)12G(PX)

The G also denotes MIVEC for Mitsubishi so it suits the car quite well

Also, most importantly, it's only a once off fee for these plates and not yearly!

Well, on the plus side I definitely know how to identify a dying CV joint now. On the negative side even the new one is being a pain in the arse.

Re: BJK's '95 FTO GPX #2!
Tim came round and swapped the CVs with the parts car to diagnose the right turn clunking issue, which did indeed solve it. The inner cup shaft length is slightly different between them, so he'll make a hybrid between the old and new so it fits properly.
Starting to look for shops to reweld the captive nut on the floorpan back in place now.

Bennoz would be proud. Went to not one, but two workshops in person to get quotes for fixing the captive nut on the floorpan. Both said it would likely be a day worth of work, and both had somewhat similar prices. Will just have to figure out a way to get from there back home and then back from work for a couple days.

S'not the subframe that's busted, it's the chassis.Bennoz wrote:*prouds*
