Project Beema
As some of you may know,I've lost my license for 4 years. So Ive been searching for a cheap car I can restore & mod over the 4year period...
I bought a Subaru brumby for $100 with plans to drop a wrx engine in it, but after gutting the whole car I found too much rust in chassis rails & parted it out. Turns out that the old girl had a heap of rare parts and I made over $3000 off it.
Then I picked up this BMW for a $1000 off a mate who has had it for 5 years sitting in the shed after his Nan gave it too him.
jump started first go.
It's a 1980 e21 323i, 163,000kms. Completely original.
Interior is mint. I'd thought the body was perfect aswelll until I ripped out the boot carpet and rubbers today & found a sh*t load of bad rust. so ive got a fair bit of sh*t boring work ahead of me before any fun stuff begins.
For a 35 year old car, it's in pretty good nick.
Shall update as I go

Re: Project Beema
Subie brumbies have almost like a cult following.. lots of rare little bits and pieces that most people wouldn't think of. Mate of mine at work has a mint original one. Nice little cars actually.
Nice score on the bimmer.
What's with the angle of the head unit?

Guessing it is a Pioneer... So it tilts up when the car gets turned off, so you can detach the face.. If you don't detach after a certain time, it folds back down...Daniel2019 wrote:Subie brumbies have almost like a cult following.. lots of rare little bits and pieces that most people wouldn't think of. Nice score on the car... Don't f**k with it... Just put it in stock original form ... It will be worth more that way ...
Has it had a front ender before? Looks like the front was a different colour... But could just be lighting...
I just had to add it ......

I talk a lot of sh*t, usually have to keep a roll of toilet paper handy in the car for my mouth

Nice score on the brumby!
Also nice score in the beamer, looks reasonably tidy!
I do like how they kind of hid the bonnet lines too...
