Well, it depends. I won't be doing it straight away certainly, so in the meantime I'll probably enquire as to the cost of getting new brackets fabbed up. If that's as expensive as Tim reckons then I'll likely buy a new kit.

Still need to sand the lettering down a bit as it's still touching a bit as it goes round.

BTW..... GTO brakes without caliper brackets. :cheeky:

If I'm to get more used stuff I'll stick with the Brembos already on there. Might get another set of brackets fabbed and see if they can give me a bit more barrel clearance too lol

If you've got Brembos, just use Evo hubs. Fabricated brackets can EAD ;-)

This is all in that fancy DIY guinea pig you did a while back, yeah?

So I just need hubs, calipers and rotors? And that thing done to the bushes?

What actual fiddling did you have to do? Is it literally just hubs and calipers?

Need new outer CVs, and have to get a machinist to take a bit of material off the knuckle where it joins to the shock.

What's different about the CVs?

And hey Ben, have you yet had to order wheel bearings for the Evo V hubs? said they were expensive in your big brake thread.

FTO ones are 25 spline outer, GTO hubs are 27 spline.

Ah, but it all just fits together with the FTO inner CV? What size rotor?

Don't need to touch the inner CVs, just need to replace the outers.

Depends if you get Gen 1 or Gen 2 GTO brakes/hubs.

Gen 1 are 297mm, Gen 2 are 313mm I believe.

Re read the thread. I ended up finding them for about 50 bucks a pop lol. Common to a bunch of really sh*t Mitsies

Yeah, I've got the Gen 1, only differences are calipers and discs.

Calipers on the Gen 2 have longer arms to space the caliper further out for the larger disc, hubs are the same.

Yup, rebuilt them. Got rebuild kits from rock auto.
