If the motors fucked as well, I'd salvage whatever you can, save up and buy a straight one with good engine.
And take old mate to court if you've got a strong case.
Because nothing is faster than a p plater in a commodore.....
except maybe a p plater on a unicorn

Is the radiator support (the metal rail over the radiator) bent or deformedat all. How about the bit that runs above the headlight on each side. If not, then all you have to worry about is what it is like down low and you wont be able to work that out without taking the bar off. At a minimum, you are up for:

Front bar (although I cant see any damage in the pic, there has got to be some)
Rheo behind bar (unless it can be straightened)
Drivers side Headlight
Bonnet
Possibly aircon condensor(does the aircon still work)

As for part cost, front bar and bonnet will set you back about $100 each, headlight $120ish and condensor $100ish. Rheo will likely cost around $75. Any panel work will be additional, but looking at the photo, it wouldnt be horrific.

So, first job, take that bar off and see what damage there is.

Just read the other posts. If the head gasket is blown, id say thats three strikes unless you are really sentimentally attached. Better off finding another maybe.

You should notify your insurance company, if you haven't already.

      Already did.

Old mate at the back didn't have any insurance, so Jaz's insurance company cottoned on and tried to pin it on her.

Did the police visit the crash site?

Nope, new laws in NSW so cops don't have to attend unless it's a serious crash now.

Oh, I thought that if there was over $2k damage the police had to be called.

Who is paying for the damage of the car that was in front of Jaz?

You had third party insurance, which usually covers you if someone else hits your car. So your insurance comapny should be chasing up the other guy for the funds.

At least that's what happened with one of my mates who had third party fire and theft with NRMA.

Not sure. How does one determine that anyway?

No damage to the car in front as far as I'm aware... Most of the damage to her car was done by the dividing wall in the centre of the road.
