Jacking point broken

Post by mezje »

The area where you jack the car on the passenger side is fucked. Pretty rusty and bent most the way down the rail making it hard to lift and kinda worrying too, any way to fix this at all?

Will take pics tonight.

What kind of jack do you use?

I'd imagine you could get a screwdriver and bend it back up... Use a hammer to tap it back into shape if need be.

Derrr I never got around to posting a photo, I use a hydraulic jack with stands but the passenger side was pretty mangled when I got the car. The 'rail' is just bent and rusted, a photo will explain.
