Approx cost to fix?

Post by kiona »

Hi everyone!

Double newbie here... to the forum and also an FTO virgin

This car was listed on gumtree today, it's not even remotely close to what I was looking for in terms of overall condition but I love the colour

Anyone able to tell me how much it would cost to fix for RWC? Also is the asking price okay or too much?

So it is...

Does that mean someone else is likely to buy it before I even get my question answered?

I would steer clear of that one.

Okay, thanks for advice. (I assume because it appears to have had a bit of a flogging during it's lifetime?)

I just looks really mistreated and the damage to the side of it warrants attention.

Although it's cheap there are better examples for sale.

Yeah, I'm not really looking for cheap... am actually wanting mechanically sound, roadworthy and registered. ha ha, my common sense just got momentarily blinded by that glorious bright yellow 8O

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Sydney and QLD are the best places to buy FTOs... buy a clean one for like $4k and you can vinyl wrap it any color at $2k if you *really* want to. Just find a good one, that car looks like it's had a rough time.

Daniel2019 has one for sale with a rebuilt engine. Have a look in the sale threads.

There's a few on our FB page also.
