FTO Registration

Post by Newbie »

Hi guys,
So just a quick question as I'm looking at buying a FTO, if the car has not been registered after a engine change (non MIVEC to MIVEC) is it a pain in the ass/expensive to get done? tia

If its still registered, you just need to let them know the new number (and may need a little paperwork on the engine itself). If the car isnt registered itll need a blue slip anyway, so no extra effort. Again, will need some paperwork on the new engine (like a receipt indicating where it came from). I think this is right but feel free to correct me.

Yeah receipt for engine just in case.

And it will need a blue slip if it's been unregistered.

Thats exactly what I have done to my car.
    I fix cars.

I had the engine changed in my Magna and when I went to sell it all I needed to do was let the RWC person know the new engine number that was it.
