Track Car Forums?

Post by spetz »

Is anyone a part of any motorsport forums where they host racing sessions etc?

Obviously there would be Evo, STi, Type R forums etc that would do this, but I mean more general ones where all makes and models are welcome?

I am primarily wondering if owning a relatively rare car like an FTO means there aren't many things you can attend to comparative to for example owning an Evo

Mini Car Club NSW. They're happy to see any car in their events. They do Motorkhana, Hill climbs, Track sessions. You'll find most CAMS affiliated clubs are happy to have any cars. From memory Tanya & Rob were racing their FTO under the Honda club banner.

I'd be interested in circuit racing only.

The issue being that I'd like to join a club with similar cars to mine.

I have a Lancer coupe that has a 6A12 in it. The car has been stored for quite a few years now and I was weighing the options of getting ready for track (approx $4,000 I suspect) versus buying something like a DC5R (mid teens, but will be street registered).

But knowing myself, I don't really do stuff unless it is with groups of people and the bonus of have an Integra is that there would be so many events for Hondas which I'd be attending, whereas with a car like the Lancer I'd need to make sure there are events that I could attend
