Clutch Kit the same for F5M421 and F5M422?

Post by Funugs »

I'm looking around for clutch kits for my manual conversion and I came across this thread http://ftoaustralia.com/v3/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=22283

"your pressure plate u will need to make sure it the correct one to suit your model of engine but as for the clutch plate you will need the one to suit the F5M422, if your having trouble getting a part to suit or need a car to compare it too this gear box is also in the 1992 to 1995 Gallant that should help u get a part number if required"

I'm not sure if i'm just interpreting the wording wrong but it seems to suggest that the F5M421 and F5M422 require different clutch kits. Is this true? Or can I just order any "FTO" clutch kit and it will fit?

All FTOs have the F5M42.

And any FTO clutch kit will fit any FTO.
