What's a good price to pay for a manual GPX?

Also, how much better are the manuals compared to the autos?

Cost depends on the age and quality really, feel free to haggle a lot coz it seems nobody wants FTOs atm, probably 1.5-2k for a sh*t one, up to 4-5k for a nice one. Definitely go manual if you have the chance.

There's one located around here that's in the burgundy colour (not my fave), but it's a manual! It's not in the best shape, but maybe I'll get it if it's a good price....

Also, has the roof rust issue...

There are a few nice ones going atm, but they are all autos :|

The burgundy is so nice in the light though!

Basically most Pre-97 FTOs suffer from the roof rust (and even some early 97s IIRC).

Depends on whether I should buy one knowing that it has rust spots... I have no plans to fix it! Do the darker colours rust more easily?

If you can find one without any spots that's obviously more ideal, but there might still be some there. What you want to be asking is if the glue that causes the problem has been removed.

Not sure on the colour thing, but both my silver and white have spots. White is better though.

Colour has no affect. The rust is caused by the glue that mitsi used in the roof.
Probably not a good idea to buy one with rust, with no plans to fix it.....
