Hi everyone,
My name is Ace and I'm from Malaysia!!

Recently I just got a 1994 GPX Auto (99% stock condition)
I've not much knowledge with FTO and still a newbie.

Anyway, excuse me for my poor English.

Currently parts with me:
Recaro SPG
Recaro SR3 Spectrum
GAB SS Coilover kit with pillow ball mount
Momo Prototipo
Cusco Strut Bar
Cusco 4 point lower arm bar
Ultra Racing rear strut bar
Volk Racing CE28
Nankang NS2R 215/45/17

I'm doing this mod just for fun, I'm still learning what to do with the stock engine.
Any ideas?

Welcome to the club,

Quite a tidy FTO you have there. And your english is just fine. Show us some more pics when you have fitted some of the aftermarket parts ;)

Oh that's for sure.
Anyway, I notice when I go slightly higher rev, my temperature gauge will go up to 3/4 like the cluster pic as shown above. Both fans are working, water is full, but it gets above normal working temperature.

1. Radiator clogged and blocked?
2. Bad sensor?
3. Bad thermostat?
4. Bad water pump?

Anyway, it is not easy to source for FTO replacement parts here in Malaysia.

Hmmm, radiator could be blocked. Could also have a blown head gasket. Are you using water at all. I wouldnt think its a sensor or gauge. Could be a blocked water pump too.

For parts, try www.amayama.com. You will get all FTO parts from there.

Yes I think it is water at all only. As I just got the car 3 days ago. Haven't got time to check it out yet. Just took her out for a spin, that's it.

This overheat issue really scare me.

Hey.

Could still be a sensor. See if it actually is overheating using a temperature gun.

Might just need sensors. My blue GPX had that issue - gauge was reading high, was just a gauge sensor.

Maybe I start with a simple job like remove thermostat and do a complete flush first?

Sending my ride into workshop for a complete flush and check for blockage in the matrix.
Meanwhile, I had something up onto the ride.

Got my Recaro SPG and Recaro SR3 Spectrum in the cabin, an original Momo Prototipo steering wheel, GAB adjustable coilover with pillow ball mount, and also a Cusco 4 points lower arm bar installed.
The replacement or aftermarket parts for FTO are so rare here in Malaysia.

Anyone can sell me a Version R spoiler?

Daniel, they are great out of the box with stock spec.
But I'm running with custom Valve spec and also 8k180 in front and rear maintain all stock.
