Respray question
How much would it cost roughly to get a red pray of my whole car? Would it be cheaper to get it wrapped? Or better to get it resprayed? As there are a lot of sh*t touch up jobs on my car that need sanding back and fixing lol!

Re: Respray question
For a good red pray you'll probably need a Cardinal or maybe the Pope.
For a respray, the more you want done the more expensive it tends to get, and you generally get what you pay for. A basic closed door quick rub and paint will set you back ~$2k, give or take depending on where you are and who you can find to do it. Budget $5k plus for something better quality. Depends if you're doing the bay, the door sills etc. If you're changing colour or not, what paint you use, blah blah blah.
Vinyl is marginally cheaper than a cheap respray, but if you want to paint down the track anyway then it's a waste of money imo. Get some quotes from shops and go from there.

Re: Respray question
Yeah that's true. I will just want the outside respected same colour, majority of the paint is alright (boot, rear bar and quarter panels it's just pretty much the roof and bonnet and front bar but I'd probable get the whole thing done as it may look abit odd with some brand new sprayed parts

Re: Respray question
Well, how bad actually is it? Is the clear all peeling and missing paint and scratches or does it just need a decent quality cut and polish? You might be better getting the things done that need doing, rather than something cheap all over, but that's just my semi-informed opinion. Take with salt and pepper.
Paint is just one of those things you'll never see a return on though, nobody is really going to care (if you sell it) that you've spent any given amount of $$$ on it.

Re: Respray question
That's not a bad price at all, did that include any body work, or just the paint job?

Re: Respray question
That was with a heap of body work including repair of a cracked front bar
Complete roof rust removal with welding as the fix and not big
And 3 big rear quarter dents
Have a look at my build thread from a while ago for pics or what not

Yeah I remember your thread, just couldn't remember if it was all done at once or not.
Considering the work, that's not a bad price at all...

Re: Respray question
Oh that's a heaps good price! But I'm not sure if it's worth getting the whole car done as it'll cost more to paint it then it's worth! Might just do my own job on the roof and bonnet because that's all it really needs and just some surface scratches around the car ( hence a 21 yr old car lol)

Re: Respray question
I know this is a old thread. My paint and hardner, clear alone cost me $2000 my dad is a panel beater spent 40 hours on body work including fitting new kit outstanding body work which at a shop is about $90ph, for me free love, with about $500 in body materials, my best mate is a spray painter paid him $500 to spray normally he gets $1500 per car did engine bay with motor out and all inside doors boot ect . I hope this gives you little bit of info on price these days but keep in mind this was mates rates and I used top shelf paint. This was all done Xmas last year.
