Interesting!

Indeed.
And all it is is basically a thick shaft that runs straight out of the diff parallel to the ground and then is held on the engine at the other end (where the drive shaft goes) by a bracket.

Yes Diamante.

Does the Galant VR4 have equal length driveshafts too perhaps?
Or maybe Evo 6 etc have them too.

Richard batty doesn't have intermediate shafts and his is 1000hp or something. He just responded to my question on Facebook.

Is the Whiteline H brace OK?

that's all I'm finding right now.

Wasn't aware they made one, got a link to it? Whiteline is pretty reputable though, I have their swaybars front and rear.

That's an Ultra Racing brace and they are meant to be decent and make a noticeable difference according to some members who've fitted it

The build quality sucks on them though. Just ask Bennoz.

Yeah Ultra Racing stuff is all welded up in Malaysia. Very 'moist' over there...

If you can, try source a Cusco (Version 2) - 540 476A

Yeah, my bad. found the Cusco on eBay, though import tax and fees will double its cost.

Is Richard really running normal shafts? No intermediate shaft?
I'm sure it cant be too hard to mock one up for the FTO, especially if a magna has one; being pretty similar.
I am actually going to look into this in a few weeks as I'm doing my 6a13tt build. At least get equally weighted shafts or such

Eh, I wouldn't do it personally.

Half the fun in owning a turbo FWD is controlling the torque steer.

This ^^^

Watching the look on all the other drivers faces while you paint 2 black lines across 3 lanes of a freeway at 100kph is the best part!

FTOAustralia club president seems to have a misguided perception of good and bad.

TBH I think a well built car must drive really well and going across 3 lanes (presumably unintentionally) seems like something needs a bit more attention.

I support this idea and would really like to see it go ahead

But really, the torque steer isn't that bad. I can still keep it in a lane fairly easily.

As has been said. Harden up.
