In all seriousness, where the hell is everyone?
This forum and community was hands down awesome and the most fun and genuine connection I've had on a forum. So many good times

I'm here spamming with photos when I take them.

When i have the time and actually work on the FTO, I update my thread
ALSO.. I'm really stuck atm. Anyone know how to remove the pinion gear housing from the steering rack? It's held in by 2 bolts, but not sure if theres anything else holding it in. It doesn't simply 'slide out' as the DSM forums say it should. It does move up and down about 10mm, but it feels like theres something stopping it. Not sure if I should try use a mallet to tap it out..? Any ideas?
(Orr, if i remove the bottom retaining nut, the whole pinion and housing will come out? Assuming there's no circlip holding it in. I haven't tried to crack the nut, because I'm not sure whats stopping the rack from moving to allow me to crack it; don't want to use 50N to crack the nut when I'm not sure what the opposing force that lets me crack it is)

Forum is still here, and i intend on hitting it harder than i did your mum on the white vinyl last night.
