LSD - how much will this benefit me?

The Viscous LSD out of the 4 speed has 62 teeth on the crown wheel.
The open diff in my box has 62 teeth on the crown wheel, does that mean that it will fit in my box and then I just need to sort out inner driveshaft cups?
Can the innards of the LSD be changed to accept 27 spline inner cv shafts instead of trying to source these rocking horse sh*t 25 spline inner CV/shafts?
