No Mass Airflow Sensor to clean?

Post by erfdan »

Hey guys,

I have a Mitsubishi 1995 gpx which seems to be need a Mass airflow sensor clean or replacement from what I've researched but I've realised that gpxs don't have MAF. I was just wondering would I be removing the MAS (showed I the picture below) and cleaning that or is there something else I need to do?

(Sorry I can't upload the picture here as it keeps saying file too big even when I try to shrink it)

Thanks a lot!
Edit: okay through some more searching, the sensor I circled is the tps. I was wondering would anyone know what I would do if I'm having symptoms of the maf that needs a clean but own a gpx?
Thanks

No MAF to clean. Maybe describe what your symptoms are as "like the MAF needs a clean" isn't very descriptive.

Alright so, the exhaust has a slight thud/pulse/really faint pop every few seconds on idle. When im driving the exhaust might backfire with a loud pop a few times in the span of 10 seconds randomly aswell. Aswell as when accelerating, it never accelerates smoothly anymore, its very shaking/ has lost most of its power and struggles a little bit on uphills on the normal gears i used to use before.
(Ive also checked my spark plugs and there are all working fine)
Those are my symptoms, thanks for the response man
