What do you need to lock them for?
If it is to remove the cam gear itself then you can hold the cams in place with a spanner from a groove they have (rocker covers must be removed)

Correct doing timing belt and other engine work while the engine is out of the car, and couldnt find any threads with tools they used, would the supershit auto product work?

If the engine is out of the car don’t even worry about the locking tool, I did a belt myself with no locking tool and the engine was in the car and it was no worries. It’s merely easier not vital

I made my own. If you can pick it up from Macquarie Park, you are welcome to it otherwise I can take some picks and you can make your own. It was made from < $50 worth of bits from Bunnings.

It is the same style as the factory so you can remove the cam gears and install them if needed.
Me? Bitter? f**k no. I think it's hilarious.
