Possible input bearing problem

Post by Bazza »

Been having some problems changing gear while driving home, then after getting in my car again it was making a grinding/clicking noise whenever the clutch qas disengaged, but would dissapear upon engaging the clutch, heard it might be the input bearing but not certain, wondering if anyone else has had any similar issues that might be able to give me some guidance, thanks.

How old is the clutch too? I had one that I thought was a bearing but it ended up being a loose spring on the friction plate lol

Change your gearbox oil. There's a sump plug on the bottom of the box on the passenger side. If you see metal shavings, you'll know if it's the primary input bearing..
