SOLD - 96 Manual GPX

Post by klyfe »

Edited to add a couple of things, simplify post and note that open to any offers.

Good evening folks.

I purchased my FTO from dstocks back in 2011 (this is the link to his sale post viewtopic.php?f=4&t=22546&p=263648&hili ... ks#p263648 ) and it was a fantastic car.

The basics and positives are:-

- Manual
- 1996 GPX
- 175XXXkms
- Short shifter
- Version R running gear
- Front bar from dstocks “Facelift Factory Ts Group Buy”. It has clear indicators installed.
- Rear bar is from dstocks “Rear Bar Group Buy”. I had the second exhaust gap cut out with plans to put in a dual exhaust, but this did not happen. It has number plate lights installed.
- Arrays mags
- Momo airbag wheel
- Stainless steel dial surround (installed), gear surround (not installed), kick plates (not installed) and plate/shroud at front of engine bay (currently uninstalled, but will be put back on).
- Dash is in good knick
- Original seats which are in reasonable condition, only a couple of tears/holes
- Original floor mats
- Since purchased from dstocks, it has been a female driven car. I have never had it at a track or pushed it very hard.
- The car has not been in an accident since I have owned it, and there is no damage to the body
- While on the road, the fluids and filters were always changed at regular intervals, and services were undertaken on time.
- The car never missed a beat while I was driving it.
- Has an immobiliser
- No roof rust as far as I am aware

The negatives:-

- It has been sitting for quite some time – it will need new tyres and battery
- While it has been out of action, it has been neglected and not regularly started or driven. It will need a service. It does run though.
- It no longer has any clear coat. There are speckled stains on the car from where leaves fell and stained the paint etc, and there are scratches throughout the paintwork.
- There are a few tiiiiiiny specks of surface rust on the body, I think mainly where I had put magnetic P plates (which melted onto the car in the sun, ripped a bit at the paint and had to be scraped off).
- I never got around to having the front and rear bar properly fitted and painted. They are still just in gel coat.
- I have lost the front windscreen water sprays from the bonnet.
- There is no stereo.
- Has a cheap sh*tty gear knob which is falling apart

If you don’t mind how the car looks, it would be easy to have on the road again.

Open to offers, as is or with new tyres and battery etc and RWC.

Located Wodonga.

Some quick snaps below. Please note that my brilliant hubby did take the photos while the bonnet was not actually closed - there is not that big of a gap!

No, sorry. Need to move the whole car on, not interested in selling bits and pieces seperately.

As noted, “open to offers”.

Now that I am needing to move on ASAP, I have decided that would be happy with $2500 as is. Currently have someone lined up to have a look once VIC restrictions ease again.
