Best place to source new radiator

Post by mr_andersen »

Hi all

Anyone know the best place to source a new radiator? Mines leaking and needs replacing. I can see a bunch of aftermarket ones on eBay for around $200. They all look basically the same, are they any good or is there somewhere better to source one?

Car is 96 GPX in case it matters.

Cheers

Most people's experiences with the ebay rads seem to have been okay, I had a bit of a dud (but was a bit pickier and didn't want to stuff around fixing it). Ended up with an OEM style replacement from Fenix.

Just for anyone in the future, bought a GPI Racing brand one off ebay for ~$200ish. According to the mechanic it's a bit wider than the stock one. Needed to bend the fin on one side a bit so it didn't rub up against the AC compressor hose. Also one of the fan holes didn't quite line up, half a screw width off, so cable tied that one. So they work, might require a bit of screwing around to get it in though.
