WTB: Manual Instrument Cluster !!Urgent!!

Hi ppl, i need a manual instrument cluster in low k's. It's the bit where the rev meter, speedo and mileage are all together. My car is GPX manual so yeah i need a manual one.

ehh i think thats illegal, cause then your car registers the wrong km's

not sure if its illegal? my mate had to have his replaced/fixed because his was broken... and it was reset at 000000.. If someone buys the car they are going to want to see the service records anyway which will list the kms its done.

and when u change resitrations when u sell your car
RTA also have a record of the previous kms on odometer
so if anything fishy is going on u will get in trouble when u sell your car.

yeah im not sure about the legal matters, but i know that many people do this with stolen cars when they rebirth it.
and many cars come in from japan with a new main instrument clustor off another car with lower km's

the km's is registered in your ECU... not in the cluster... i've had mine out many many times and it always remembered the amounts...

There has gotto be another computer which counts the KM's, as wouldn't it go back to 0 if you bought a new ECU?

or wouldnt it reset to 0 whenever u reset your ECU? 8O
