What light is this?

Post by umm »

On the rear light cluster, what is the clear part of the light towards the inside. How do you turn it on?

On pre-facelift fog-light pods, there are three bulbs.

Indicator
Middle bulb 3w 12v (fog light??)
Inside bulb 55w H3 (parker??)

How do you turn on the bulb towards the inside of the pod(parker??).

The middle bulb comes on when i press the fog light button or the headlights are on, but i can't get the inside bulb on the back or front pod to work. The bulbs look fine to.

I'm confused, whats what and how do you turn them on? :?

Actually your 3V is your parkers & the H3 is your fog lights, all you have to do is press the button on the right had side of your dash near the steering colum.

Cheers

Just remember don't use anything higher then 55w for your fog, or you going to melt the switch again.

light switch

Post by msbchi »

It's a common problem that can only be rectified via a relay. All the fto's that don't have a relay will have melted the switch as the current is carried through a spring loaded ball bearing. I just got a replacement through Lee at SL Motors in Springvale but be prepared they are not cheap $60 was the cheapest I found

Eh, i don't have a fogliht switch or reversing lights!!?!?!

What the hell ay? When i'm reversing i only have the dim glow of my red parkers to guide my way. And when the high beams and everything on the indicator cluster only has a small yellow soft light thing on.

Your reversing lights must be busted - there is a sensor on the gearbox which may be faulty.

And not all FTOs have the foglights - I don't have them in mine...
