THis is the water temperature gauge near the speedometer that we are talking about? or the voltage meter in the centre? I'm confused...

If this is the temperature gauge, then is it proportional to you driving hard?
Say on idle it stays level, then opon driving hard it goes up?

Anyway, do a radiator flush!

thanks guys.. i will check earh connection and
try that radiator flush as you guys mentioned..
Anyway, the exact symptom is like this...
the tamperature meter at the center of dashboard (between speedo and rev) it suddenly goes up really high even though i am not accelerating the car..i mean really high..almost hittig the 'H' on the top and it stays like that for a while and then it comes back down to middle and this whole thing happens many times while i am driving.
sometimes it is ok,but sometimes it's not..
hmmm...
:( :(

almost seems like your water pump is playing up, like turns off... then turns on... :?
