Hi Everyone,
NRMA has said my starter motor may be gone, and I really need a good auto elec to change it on my car. My car is sitting on a road 2 streets away from my house so I need any recommendations asap, and preferably how much I should expect to pay for this.
Can somebody HELP!!

Hi Jono, Thanks heaps. I needed someone pretty quick so I grabbed Bennoz's acquaintance to do it for me. I didnt really have time to shop around but I paid $380 for the job. He got a new Starter Motor for the Galant and placed it within the existing FTO cover, did the running around to help me out, so im pretty happy with that.
Out of curiosity's sake, how much did you pay for your starter motor and where did you source it?

Hey man,
yeah i cant remember, but i got it at about that, or a bit less i think.
Mayan does all my servicing. i just do all the oil changes in between services.
Ive had him as my mechanic for about 4 years now. No problems at all..done all the major stuff already.
A good deal for FTO's now is the waterpump(aftermarket) for about $150 i think.. Not including labour. thats pretty cheap.
