Alrighty all,

Seeing as nothing's happened for a while and most of you couldn't attend the Kiama cruise, how about something a little closer to home?

Date: 25th Of September (a sunday)
Meeting Point: National Museum Carpark
Departure Time: 1130

Route: Starting at the Museum we head off onto the Parkway and along to the Cotter turn off.

Following the Cotter road for a little while we come to a right turn onto Urriara Road and follow that down past the Cotter where we can stop and have a quick break.

We then head out onto the road to Tharwa, which we will pass through and then it's onto Honeysuckle Creek. At the end of this beautiful road is a nice BBQ area where we can eat some food, chill and have a chat.

Then it's back to Canberra!

I'd expect this to take up the majority of your Sunday afternoon.
So come on Canberrans!! Don't chicken out on a damn good set of roads and fun times!

Well if you include the Cotter part of it (about 25-30 minutes) you're looking at about 45-50 minutes....without stops. The Cotter loop is about 80kms, plus 50ish kilometers from Tharwa to Honeysuckle.

A good chunk of the roads are very very windy too, with a few nice straights to open up on.

I might be down for the cruise, you know me these days.

Arrrrgggg!!!! Was in until today. I now have a broken engine mount. While I could probably make it to something local (car still drivable), not keen to push the envelope and do a lot of driving outside Canberra.

Ok guys, I've gotta postpone this cruise do to my gearbox misbehaving.

I'll organise an alternative date once I'm back up and running.
