You need an AM/FM modulator ( I thinkt that's what they're called).

I'm assuming you've still got the stock Mitsubishi deck in the car??
I took out my modulator when putting my new deck in the car and I've got it lying around at home....unless Dad chucked it out :?

Yeah just go to JayCar & get those converter, should be no more then $30. Tell them you got an import radio & you want to pick up the Aus frequence.

Or if you after another cheap solutions then you can get one of those cheap unit from SuperCheap for like $30-$50 bucks

Yup,

Your centre console cover will have to come off (the bit around the tip/gearstick. Be careful with this as it can break fairly easily.

Remove the rubber spacer first (the bit of rubber around the tip/gear stick). It shoud come out fairly easily.

starting from the point closest to the rear of the car, pull up the top of the console (the bit with the ashtray in it). DONT FORCE IT.

Having removed this, you should see 2 screws on either side of the stereo. Remove these and the unit should slide out.

P.S. This is from memory and I think I have remembered everything (I dont have car in front of me).

Anyone else with anything to add????
