What to expect to pay for INSURANCE ?????

Post by acohen »

Hey there. I'm just new here and have been trying to research as much as I can about FTO's. I feel like a little kid in a candy store with what I've seen and heard about this car. But Could someone please tell me what to expect to pay for insurance PPPLLLLEEEAAASSE?

Welcome to the club!!!

Firstly, insurance for these beasts vary depending upon a lot of factors, mainly age, driving history and mods.

Most people pay from $2000 to as little as $800 for their car insurances. Have you decided which company you are going with? I can suggest a couple that you can get quotes from

http://www.uniquecar.com.au

Torque 1300 369 769

Shannons (bit pricey I thought but worth a try)

Famous Classic Car Insurance 1300 88 60 29

There are a few to keep you going - sorry I dont have the number for shannons but they are on the net...

Good luck

I've always been under the impression that Shannons don't do under 25 year olds? :?

You could be right there Bucket - but acohen hasn't said how old he/she is so I thought I throw it in just in case.

BTW if you are under 25 try Young and Cool as well (on the net also)

I know, believe it or not, owning this FTO is actually cheaper than my previous car which was a 98 lancer gli coupe hahaha! I paid $2600 for that, and year before was $3000 and before that $4000. 8O 8O 8O Insane!

I'm 22 with full no claim at young and cool, so paid just over $1000 this year.
