Which part will be missing? The ashtray back bit or the cigarette lighter or both?

I would put my name down but would really like to get the dial surround same time since right now they are matching colours and would look dumb otherwise. :?

Can this dude make the top part as well that holds the clock etc. At the moment both of those pieces are blue in my car and I think it might be weird having CF only half way. If I could get both I'm in.

ya I tend to agree...If I only get the bottom part in CF and the top stays the same black its gonna be a little anoyying for me to look at...Cos this is "curvey" it might be harder to do..If the price was like < 350 for both i'd be in...

That top part that holds the climate control/two dials.....how many of you have actually pulled that out??

It is by no means a small peice of plastic....recreating this in carbon fibre would be difficult and time consuming. Not to mention expensive.

You would be better off buying this peice and then getting the dashboard centre to coat/treat/whatever the upper part, this would keep the costs down but maintain a constant carbon fibre look the whole way up the dash. 8)

EDIT: Hell, come to think of it you could probably do the centre bit, then coat the entire middle console/gearbox tunnel in CF cover to give it a really awesome look!

Are you serious? Oh, my god. I just creamed myself, and I thought that only Kaz's undercarriage would have that effect on me!

How will it clip in? The same as the old one or a different way? What has been about the ashtray area, is it just being removed and replaced with like a flat CF surface??

Infact, I don't even f**king care, JUST SIGN ME UP!

This won't take more then a month will it, because i'm bursting with eager keeness to have one of these babies in my car. I still have a few issues but, especially the one about how it will clip in? I mean, currently my broken surround is held in with cable ties quite securely (all the clips are snapped) but i'd prefer something easier to manage.

Postage will be a little expensive, it goes on cubic volume, not weight. So while the surroudn may weigh a couple of hundred grams the cost will be calculated on something mayb 4 - 5kilos ish. And it will need to be well secured.

In summary, oh god GIMME GIMME GIMME!

lol scarecrow...

this group buy will def go ahead once i get 5. YES - 5!

So 1 more, and wer alrdy on our way there.

Getting the top part in made in CF will be damn expensive, and i doubt that it can even be made, because theres simply too many curves. CF does not bend easily...

Guys, ill talk to him and see what he says. I will also try to find out how much it will cost to get it posted to each state.

But for now, this is how it stands:

$150 - Carbon Fibre Surround

1. Scarecrow

2. Timmy D

3. Breza

4. Leigh

5.

PS: For those who are deciding - just to speed things up - i say this will remain open for another week. Thanx.
