Adelaide - Cruise - Sunday 12 March or Sunday April 2nd ???

Post by mrx »

Barossa Cruise - see other thread for more details. http://www.ftoaustralia.com/modules.php ... 3814#73814

March pretty busy for me - but if people still want to do it then we could do it in two weeks time.

If not, could wait until April, but there is the MGEC Show and Shine on which would be great to attend as a group also.

Hopefully will have my car back on the road by April, outside chance by the March date. Making calls today - comes down to $$$ as always....

Will be there in some form, either as "support car" (read: Telstar) or even a passenger...???

Anyway - cast your votes and lets get this happening while people are interested!!! :)

If there's stuff coming up in April we want to attend, then I suggest we go for the March date. Either will suit me though, but like I said in the other thread, If you want do do anything in the Barossa while we're up there, I need to know.

Oh, and I think a Sunday is better...

Oh c'mon - give me a break! One teeny tiny little mistake (like the wrong day) and you take it to your grave....

And besides, how good would it be to chuck a sickie and go on an FTO cruise???

Well, how about we set the 12th March, and can then work on what we are doing in April - Show 'n' Shine and the like.

Would lunch be better or you want a Late start for the cruise ? Could do a winery tour of Seppeltsfield and some wine tasting there, cost about $10 for the tour IIRC. I can look up some other nice wineries for some tasting if you want, but wouldn't want to go to too many, considering we're all driving LOL. (except maybe shaun... :( )

Ha ha. Are you sure its a Sunday? Anyone else want to check?

Not sure I like you guys any more....

However, the non-driving thing sounds like a plan. How about I just come as a passenger, designated camera-man and wine drinker? Then I can tell you how good the Sunday was!!!

Car getting looked at tomorrow. Time is somewhat against me...

As designated wine taster, I dont think you'll remember how good the Sunday was... and the camera work will probably be worth a good laugh...

Fine by me....

Well, replacement engine it is. None in Adealide, have to get one from Victoria. Long shot of being done by next weekend, but stranger things have happened.

None spring to mind, however.

Look on the bright side... you wont be able to blow your engine at the track day if your car isnt on the road... 8)

Well, just for an update - cause I know your all interested.

Might be on the cruise after all. Just have to pay for the engine, 2 days to get to Adelaide, then a day to fit it (assuming they have the current one out of there ready to go).

And of course, nothing else goes wrong....

I see no reason, at this point, why I cannot be ready by next week.

Oh, and Ben, I guess you don't want my radiator hoses to get your car back on the road for the cruise. After all, they might be cursed or something.

You just enjoy the Sirion.

Hey guy's sorry I have been a little quiet. The FTO is still broken. having trouble working out what was fried. I should know fairly soon but at this stage March is out till I get some positive news.
It's very frustrating having my car off the road since i'm driving a gutless laser to and from work.
Hope you guys have a good time thou.

Jamie
