RPW manafactures a complete kit for the car which reduces the movement both forwards and backwards and sideways as well.

They retail for $220.00 and we do have exchange units.

The one in the accessories guide is just for a gear knob and not a short shifter kit as such.

There are those options or you can get the best, which is the c's short shift (aka short stroke shift in japan) which is around $400 dollars to buy from japan. Check the checker flag website (http://home.catv.any.jp/dd/checker/overs ... rflag.html) for prices. I deffinetely reccomend it, because i have one in mine

Hello Mitsiman...

Is that one from RPW a proper short shift kit?

And the exchange one....what is that? does that mean we can exchange our stock one for a short shifter kit?
And $250? Why so cheap? is it cause it's not an original?

Thank you,

Yes it is a proper short shift kit - we modify the stock shifter to reduce teh travel by 50% both forwards and backwards, as well as sideways.

It is excahnge so you have to reutrn you origonal one back to us or you lose out on your core charge deposit.

I don't think its super cheap - its priced right for the work we do on it.

The odds are your origonal shifter ends up as a modified one in your mates car.

Hello Mitsiman..

So if you exchange your original one, how much will it be?

And the $220 is the brand new one?

And are these prices fitted?

Thank you,

The modified shifter is worth $220.00

We charge a $220.00 surety / core charge on top of that which is refunded when you return your origonal shifter back to us.

Freight and handling charges are on top for the above two prices and vary acording to where they are shipped if outside of WA. We ship Australia Post COD

Hello,

Wow, I gotta watch out for that one now...
It seems like a very good deal...

So what happens if you don't like the one that you bought, or realised that there aren't that much of a difference?
Can you return it?

I guess it means you guys don't fit it?

Thank you for all the info so far Mitsiman...

Thank you,

I have only ever had 2 people return modified shifters back so I am not concerned about that but yes if yo udon't like then return it back. We will refund evertyhing except the freight charges.

WE do fit them in Perth yes but we also sell them Australia wide via COD australia post which is normally where the core charge comes into play.

No you will find that if you put that part number into the Mitsubishi Part Software they use it come up for a short shift kit.

This is what Mitsubishi Came back to me with when i wanted that gear knob.

Hello Mitsiman~

Does that mean the RPW in Sydney doesn't sell them?

If I wanted one, I have to get it from Perth???

How much will that cost in posting it???

Thanks,

We only have one exchange unit (It took us a while to get that) so what we would need to do being in Sydney is send you our exchange one COD Australia post, and you post back to us your origonla, then when we get that we refund the core charge / surety charge back to you.

Costs would be

$220.00 short shifter
$220.00 Surety Charge
$11.00 P&H charges
$25.00 approx for Freight charges

Total Price would be approx $476.00, of which $220.00 is refundable.

Yeah you could be right. I just thought a short shifter kit is more of an option rather than an accessory. Or maybe something got lost in the Japanese to English translation?? Not many FTOs have that accessory that's for sure.

Hello Mitsiman~

As I will be orderingone from Sydney, will you give me any special price?

Just wondering...As you have quoted $476 which $220 is refunable, I will have to return you mine...isn't that right? Meaning I need to add another $36 toit, so the price is $512, which $220 is refunable.

Can you do any better than this?

If this is the best you can do, then let me think about it..

Thank you,

Sorry that is the best pricing we can do.

$220.00 for the modified shifter
$220.00 surety / core charge

Two lots of freight - one to deliver our unit to you and another to return your shifter back to us.

You can send it back to us via australia post for as little as $10.00 if you send it just regular post. WE need to send it via COD Australia post which is more expensive because it is a priority service.

Or you could just pay with your credit card over the phone and get it sent slow post both ways, if your really that keen to save on freight...
