Comp Chips for GR or GPX

Post by FTOLeo »

Hey guys, finally joined been reading this forum for ages. Just wanted to ask if there were any good chips for the GR model and what performance increase could be expected. I have a man/GR and done the POD and exhuast already. :)

3 that come to mind is Mines VX Rom (a direct replacement for your OEM ECU) or piggyback chips like Unichip, or the Powerchip.

Not sure if it'd be worth it if you only got pod and exhaust as modifications. Have you got extractors or just a cat-back system?

You'd probably be wise to spend that money on some other mods.

I have a Unichip and it works well, but a bit expensive.
$1200 fitted with a full day on the dyno which gave an extra 12kW at the wheels. So bang for buck go the POD, CAI then think about a chip.

Sorry I`ve been away.
I didn`t know there was different types of unichips.
Just a straight unichip I guess.

Mate theres at least Type A to C i'm aware of, & i had the type A before, but didn't get the gain u claim, & it was installed & tuned by APS (the company who makes them).

I took it out, cause i'm going 2 do some mod first before i put it back in!!
