Hey SA peoples - update and interest in track day 12 August

Post by mrx »

Been a bit slack of late to say the least! Will be looking at something in August though.

As an update on what has been happening, car wise at least, put new tyres and alignment yesterday, and booked in for major service, tappeet adjustment and various other things next week. They will have the car for at least a week, depending on parts and what else they find.

After that, will be looking at suspension bushes etc, and then she should be good as new.

So, after all that is done and the $$$ are spent, will be ready to hit the track again. Thats the plan - just have to have another go you see!

I think I have some spare time between parties that day, so I'll try to get out, and at least watch. And bring the Video Camera :)

Actually, have something on the night before, but will just have to take it easy.

This is, of course, assuming the car is back up and running 100% by then.

If not, then September for me too. But Luca will be out there, so a good chance to get out and have a look for those that have not been there before.

MGEC are most likely running a club track day on the 8th of October. Same day as Bathurst and should be a great day ;)

Well, will be at Bathurst, so as good as it would be (and the club track days are really good) not as good as going for 5 days on the hill!!!

Trust me on that too....

Being every brikie, chippie & sparkies annual holiday... being on the mountain for those 5 days is something else! I never miss it, utter alcoholic horsepower fuel carnage, love it!! :D

BTW if you decide thats your date for the track day, let me know & I can pop it on the front page of the forum

So, who is interested in going on the track? Show of hands please!

Also, who is just interested in heading up for a look?

Not sure if my car will be 100% ready for this one - may have to wait until September practice day instead. Luca will definitely be going on the track, so for those who have not been there and are curious, gives you a chance to see what it is all about.

Ummmm.....lets see. How about we meet out the front of that huge auto dismantlers at Gepps Cross (sorry, brain not working) on Port Wakefield Road. Time - 9.00am? I know that is a bit early and all, but not sure what time it starts.

Work out what we are doing from there I guess.
