It doesn't matter if you drive it out of the driveway or take it down to the shop once in a while, you don't count family member's car as your own

fto617 wrote:bov are cop magnets
just get a nice pod filter it will be fine...
and for evo...if u want hardcore upgrade
just do it all in one go
and since ulike HKS
by the WHOLE turbo upgrade package for around 7k
and u'll be a monster on track
ferraris will NEVER catch up to u
anyways...if u do get a bov make sure u get a flashtune or change your ecu because it will fuk up the air meter and u will run extremly rich!!!
fto617, im totally confused~~~
1. If i spent 7k on upgrading turbine, do i need to tune it every 6months? how much does it cost? $800-$1500? (tuning)

2. I wont get any "anti lag" sh*t, coz i love my car, i wouldnt let him die so fast~~

3. Need to confirm the BOV thingy, if i get the hks ssqv bov, will it lose power? (i can get it $470 delivered, genuine HKS)

ta!

470 delivered is expensive
u can get it delivered to your door for $375 PM me where and i tell u where to get hks ssqv
but hks ssqv was common choice with evo owners until problems started arising
and everyone started throwing it away at cheap prices
the safest BOV for evo running MAF is
GFB stealth FX and run it 50-50
u can buy it in burwood motoquipe
remember to use your beautiful looks to negotiate price with the dude there
(dont talk to the old woman!!!)
yea...stealth fx best way to go...
the HKS turbine kit includes all manifolds and pippings
tuning will cost you about 1800 for a flash tune + labour + road test etc
it can be done at MRT
but i suggest u dont because they are rip off for jstu a software upgrade...

currently u will have a bypass valve not a BOV...i.e. one is to the atmos. other back into the intake system...although some BOVs can be adjusted for both.

First of all, the Air Flow Meter on our cars measures the air coming in through the flapper door. It senses this air and adjusts the fuel mixture accordingly. When you let big rush of air out of the intake system, you are letting out a bunch of air that was just measured. The fueling will still dump the fuel associated with that air and cause an over rich condition. This will cause your car to stall momentarily or in some cases actually turn off. Once the BOV has closed and the intake system will return to it's normal state and work again.

To fix this, you need to adjust your BOV. Most BOVs have a screw or nut to adjust the tension. You can turn the screw/nut to the right and increase the tension until you get it just right. A good adjustment will allow the BOV to release pressure after slight boost, and not stall afterwards.

Two things come to my head when i read that.

1. You didn't understand the posts that some of the members had replied.

2. You want the BOV for rice and not performance.

The answer to your question is no.
