Cruise This Sunday. List with pics page 6

Post by FtoSam »

Okay, this is very sad.... No post has been made in the qld ssection since the 17th... and that was me.... In order to get the QLD Spirit Back, i've decided to organise a cruise...
The details will be decided one part at a time...(4 Days Poll Each)
1st - Time and Date of Event
**Poll Currently Running**
2nd - Type of Cruise (Motorway Cruise, Mountain Cruise, Track Day, Etc)

3rd - Where it will be held

4th - Other details

Feel free to make suggestion... just thought i'd get the ball rolling...
The last cruise we had from Bris to Southport was awesome... So I reckon something different....

Id be up for moutain or beach cruise. eg. strart at say the spit GC, and just follow the beaches round down to duranbah finish with a bbq.

anywhere between sunshine coast or gold coast would be good though ;)

GJ on the motivation to kick this into gear to.

Yeh i think i'd have to agree.... what would you guys reckon say start in the mountains (suggestions???) and cruise on down to the goldie possibly D-Bar for BBQ lunch would be awesome... Get a lot of looks if we sorta came onto the gold coast hway at say southport and cruised along beaches past surfers and burleigh....
I know the gold coast.. anyway know of some nice windy roads to start off on???

Heard of that but not sure where it is, we will need a start point to, know anywhere near there to meet?
And what beach do we wanna end at? only suggestion but think Broadbeach, Burliegh Heads, or Duranbah. nice beaches, fair amount of parking, and BBQ facilitys.

I think either Burleigh or D-Bar...
Mt Glorious sounds good... I've never been there, but if someone gives me a road to meet up on we can organise this from there...
Locals anyone?

i'm sorry but i demand it to not be a sunday >.<

lol, it is the one day that i can never have free unless it's pissing down with rain (as apposed to piss? o_0')

so Humf!!

lol, how bout a saturday?

oh and I voluntee to be the last car (probably going to have a fat mate with me, there's only so much a stock FTO can do with a 185kg passenger in it lol)

if we are heading down to the gold coast, brissy and north coast ppl can always meet up on the southside, then head down and meet gold coast ppl some where there, then head out to the mountain near the gold coast dam (and make a detour to the dam so everyone can piss into their water  )
muwhahahhahahahaha

yeah too bad it only lowers the passenger side, kinda looks silly. although i can take right corners real well (funny that actually, in an old bombed out 85 corona wagon with him on the left side, i could've swore when i took a left corner a little bit too fast i was on two wheels lol)

bigpitty1 - hey mackay eh? i might have to go there for work in a few months.

no sunday, because i cant get the day off ever
only chance is if it is bucketing down, then its not the best weather for cruising...

meh, stuff you guys >.<
if it has to be a sunday then it has to be a sunday, with plenty of warning i guess i can come up with an excuse (ie. i'm sick cough cough rev rev lol)

in the mean time, i'll keep pushing for saturday... if we end up at the gold coast on saturday night, can always rock up to the south port car park and turn a few heads there. :)

Thats also an idea... maybe next time... By the way things are going i may be organising one every two months or so... i'll see how i go i might post up set dates for cruises over the next 9 months or so... and people can put they're names down... and if enough interest (over 7 or so) then they will be approved...
but for now we will get this cruise out of the way first...
How about this:
Date: 1st October
Time Start: 10am
Where: Start Mount glorious
Route: Round and down the mountain to the M1
Then down to southport and along the coast to Duranbar
Ending: Finish at D-Bar with a lunch/ BBQ etc and just do whatever from there..

woh, just checked the map, thats a F***ing long drive.

cool, thats the day before my bday... guess thats a good enough excuse to be "sick" lol

i'm in, i'll take my personal lowing kit (aka fat friend) with me.

btw, are we having this as a FTO club thing or are there going to be others, cos i'm sick of automatic R33s (long story).
