Turbo. Sorry if this is a duplicate post.

So you want a hairdryer on your FTO? Or do you already have a hairdryer in it? This is the section for it. All other big power projects & forced induction goes here too.

Turbo. Sorry if this is a duplicate post.

Post by flubben »

Right I can’t find where if anywhere in the forums information about getting a turbo put in to an FTO. Do I have to purchase a turbo and install it myself? Or is there anywhere u can get it installed. I am in the UK so i can’t go to aus to get it installed... so im hoping there are a few UK members that will be able to help me out!

Sorry if this is a double post I can’t find any where about information on getting turbos on the forums.

I don't know where did you search but you certainly didn't double posted, as according to the search button which located at the top, this topic only been discussed 314 times.

I'm sure at least 10 of them will have all the information you after.

Turbo without the "s"

Now let me get either Jonowong or Sublime to hold your hand across the road

Seriously, if you from UK, i'm sure you tried the UK forum, there are at least 4 members had their FTO turbo in different way and also few had supercharged theirs too. 2 have NOS from memory.

The search at the top and the search on the left hand side doesn't work.

there are a few UK fto forums.. and unless u got a lot of mechanical experience i wouldnt install turbo urself.. there are a few places in UK that sell FTO turbo kits, saw a link to one example in a recent thread about scissor doors.. buy the kit and find someone to install it for u, im sure uk forums can help u out there.

also expect it to cost u like 4 or 5000 quid

I think the newbs questions speaks more about the layout of the forums then their lack of knowledge....

Maybe a few more sticky thread with common questions would help take care of the problem?

Newbie FAQ.

1) Can I get turbo?
Not easily or cheaply. Most likely you'll need to spend $6k + at the very least.

2) Can I get 4WD? Like EVO?
Definitely not easily or cheaply. Would cost way more than your FTO is worth.

3) Can I install blow off valve?
No

4) Have you seen that red turbo FTO for sale?
Yes. We've seen it before. There's lot of threads on it.

4b) Should I buy it?
Look at previous threads for everyone's opinion.

Well aim, thats a shot between the eye Mr Dynamite

khunjeng did that last round, so i think we should just cut and paste both khunjeng and your post to the rego requirement section. So at least they read it before they join.

Actually i'm going to make it a sticky :D

nicely done lol, should put this on the forum front page :D
The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.
