How the heck do i get the zipper to go on the max's seat covers, ive been trying for an our now and the fricken thing just wont go on

It's fiddly isn't it :D.
I ended up bending the start of it a bit so that the teeth splayed out a bit more.
Played around with it for a bit more and it finally went.
The second one went on really easily though after I did that.
