Cleaning the clear dash plastic

The clear plastic parts on my dash (what you look through to see the dials) is all spotty and dirty looking - I've tried cleaning it thoroughly with cleaning products, but they don't seem to work (in fact it seems to get worse). Would cleaning it up with sandpaper and polish work? Like with the headlight fix?

you could try using prep sol & buff it...

I use polish then used Brasso.

There could be dust stuck behind it as well, remove it and clean the other side.

Nah, tried cleaning the other side when I put my new dials in.
What sort of polish khunjeng? Car paint polish? And what do you do with the brasso, just rub it on?
