Checking engine mounts

Post by Storm »

I have the cradle which runs under the engine off the car and the mounts on it look okay. The rubber in them is a bit soft but otherwise no splits or breaks. How would I know oherwise if they are dodgy or not?

Also I dont think they are making the clicking noise anyway now. From the looks of them the engine can rotate slightly but the noise I have is of something being forced either back or forward and then staying there. Thats to say if it does it under braking then it needs acceleration before it will move back into its original place.

I just cant find out what is causing it and its driving me nuts

Any advice appreciatted
